We stayed across the road at Colina da Lapa . Have never eaten there in all of the years- I guess most of the posts on here put me off. It seemed to be closed very early most nights during Feb. and March this year. Not a good sign.

Canada, that´s because it was closed, as per my last post indicating it had reopened in March. I haven't eaten there though so can't comment on that.

Went for lunch one wet day earlier this year, very impressed. I had a burger and a stack of big fat double fried chips which was wonderful, my friends had a stew thing from the daily specials and again said really good. The decor is really sharp and equal to any top quality restaurant in any big city. visiting friends from jersey tried it last week and gave it top marks and are going back again. It was my friends that told me the chef is the one that used to run oleo, oleo food at bistro prices. No brainer

Had food and drinks here several times in June. Excellent food and service.
