Zoo Marine
We are regulars to Carvoeiro and last year visited Zoo Marine - which we all really enjoyed. I believe it is possible for the children to swim with the dolphins by prior arrangement. I wondered whether anybody had done this at Zoo Marine, would they recommend it and if so how can I arrange it. I have visited the Zoo Marine website but unfortunately it dosen't give much information on the subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

With regard to the cost of swimming with dolphins at Zoomarine, the cost is not cheap(£89.00-125 euros)but it is a lot cheaper than you will pay in America. Having spoken to someone who has done it in both places, the Zoomarine experience is far superior

Re: Dolphins.
It is possible to swim with them. You have to go to Zoomarine and book and then come back a few days later to swim.
Be advised, they charge your weight in gold for this unique experience.

Hi my young fella did it last year and in fairness he reckoned it was a great buzz...for the 125euro he got a sort of party pack ,towel, photo ,a couple of bits and bobs..also he can bring in two friends to watch and they provide soft drinks and nibbles etc.....i know it sounds like a lot and if youve got a couple of kids it sure adds up but its a once in a liftime buzz ...im not sure but i think once youve booked it you get back in on thre day your doing it for free.

We also went to Zoomarine last year and had a fab time
. There were two adults (36 & 39
) and four kids (8,10 n 13). We booked the 'experience' over the phone in England before we went and had no problems in doing this at all.......and turned up at the allocated time.....although this had been changed from am to pm....but as we were spending the day there it was no problem. As the other replies say, it really was an experience of a lifetime and the kids still treasure their photos and video of the experience.
I do admit it was fairly expensive but not half as expensive as it was in Florida, when we looked into doing it there and we have since found out that more time was spent with the dolpins at ZooMarine than in Florida.
Go and enjoy the experience....its worth it
