Faro airport car parking

Just come back from U.K after 3weeks car was left at car park 3 long stay. Went to pay at kiosk near 3 it would not accept credit cards for 103 euros. I contacted by phone the parking control that if I wanted to pay by card I had to go back to car park 2 as the machine on 3 only accepts cash? I then went to get some cash to find it does not accept 50 euro notes! Why do they make it so difficult? Thought I would warn anybody so they could be prep aired. Regards. Duncan.
