It was our first bar we visited on our very first holiday together back in 2005.
We then visited Dave under a year later to show him our wedding rings and piccies of the wedding.( Did not come to CVO til then as our honeymoon was in the Maldives.)
Visited CVO twice a year and Jailhouse on all occasions til we stopped coming to CVO IN 2011,too hilly
We visit Cabanas de Tavira, cheaper and flatter.
Miss CVO loads and will very much miss Jailhouse when we visit CVO in September.

My first post - been to Carvoeiro last five years and only discovered Jailhouse last year and ended up there every night ! so gutted to hear it's shut. We are coming out there next week 16th May to 23rd May is Dave at Alvors every Tues and is he playing anywhere else at all would love to see him again.

Jailhouse is open again. Dave playing Wed nights. Music Wed to Sat by various great local bands and musicians. Beto, Madcats,Tuca, Inez and others. Think it is run by guy from Madcats.

Sounds good....Dave was playing on saturday nights at that bar on the out road, when we were there in May, Bistro 75 I think it's called....same old jokes, music as good as ever....and he's lost a lot of weight!
Never heard of any of these other groups : any chance of them playing in November I wonder?

Pleased to hear that the Jailhouse reopened albeit Dave may not performing every night. Been going in there (and guesting) for the last 18 years or so 2 or 3 times each year. Missed it when last out in April but looking forward to going back when we come over to CVO for 2 weeks Sep/Oct.

Made my morning to hear this we are bringing all our family out in Sept and have bored them rigid with constantly talking about Dave and Jailhouse so great we can share the Jailhouse experience with them

Flyers being given out in CVO 'Grand opening party' for the Jailhouse Sat 9th August. (No mention of Dave playing, just other bands!). Wonder I'f Dave will be playing there on Wednesdays, perhaps some there at the moment could check it out.

Me and the lady wife are out in last week in September through 1st week November so we would also like to know. Have some friends there at the moment - will ask them to try to find out.
