Could anyone tell me what the best route from Caroveiro to Evora
might be? Also is it worth a day or two visit to view the historical sights?
I would very much appreciate any information that might be past on to me.

As an aside and as you are now an almost regular poster, you could become a member and be person 200 which would be great!!

Phew ! I am keep my fingers crossed. Take it easy Maddi, are you trying to give me a heart attack? I am originally from Scotland, and as you know, we are not famous for dishing out vouchers willy nilly. Can I suggest we forget the prize for the 200th member, and I will be happy to contribute towards a voucher for the 1000th member!!

But I backup Maddi's words--it can be like its other "Roman" place the "arena" at times --and occassionally you can get the "thumbs down" --I know that as much as anyone--as theres sometimes a little "whoever" pops up now and then--but its all in the game and youre amongst friends

Those foothills sound rather nice --do they take much climbing?
I live near the Lincolnshire Wolds -- not that high but very beautiful--in fact ,despite the rain of past few days the countryside here looks wonderful.
Never-the -less when I see the hot temperatures of Carvoeiro,thats where i want to be and end of august cant come quick enough for me !
Dont know if i ever went to Evora during my time in Algarve--so Ill have to take a look in September.

hi jeff..that makes three of us here.. you, me and wjs..these are really nice folks here, but they talk a little funny...they think "soccer" is "football" (try telling that to the dallas cowboys)...there are some other terms i don't understand, but i think they have something to do with drinking and sex.
