Horse riding in Carvoeiro

I am pleased to say that our family shall be coming back to Carvoeiro for two weeks in August and have found accommodation in Sesmarias. My wife's niece and family have also managed to find a villa in Sesmarias for one of the weeks that we'll be there, which is great because they'll be able to celebrate with us a special birthday for my son-in-law. The niece's daughters, aged 12 and 14, are very keen on horse riding, and we were wondering whether anybody could recommend a riding school for them to use nearby.

I can't remember the name of it so can't give you a phone number but there is a really great place in Porches.
Directions - from Cvo take the N125 towards Porches and at the large roundabout turn right towards A de Pera, at the next roundabout go right and then you take the turn on the left follow this road for a while and you will see the stables and ménage on your left.

I've found a local map that we were given last May from an owner to direct us to his villa. It appears that there is a riding centre on a road past Quinta Dos Salicos, but unfortunately, it's right on the edge of the paper and I can only read Centro Hi?????. Does anybody know of it?

I googled "horse riding Algarve" and found several centres close to Cavoeiro/Sesmarias/Lagoa. Not how up to date info is though!
Also on back road to Ferragudo from Sesmarias (not the coast road) there ia a sign for Vale Horta. It's a rough dirt track and leads to a farm with stables, not sure if they do 'public' horse riding. Someone told me they thought owned by the folk that own restaurant Fin Do Mundo in Ferragudo.

There is one over Silves - if you were driving there from Carvoiero, you'd normally drive over the bridge then turn left towards the centre of Silves. Turn right instead, its about a mile or so along the road, on the left.

My grandaughter went to the one at Pera and it's very good. I believe more proficient riders can go on the beach.

There used to be one opposite the International School on the 125, I think it is still there

No, the one opposite the International school closed some years ago after the owner had a very nasty riding accident.
