'Sheer Curiosity'.......Sounds like Steve Townsend..Who's kidding Who....?...To the guest asking if the local residents are consulted...Blimey .... Try going down to the Brothel Club ( Oh sorry ..Night Club) any night ...It's heaving at the seams with Locals......probably 90%...the rest are us lot...yes me included.. ...didnt think much of it...(Girls were ugly) These clubs don't get going until after midnight ..and by this time all you old moaners and Kids..should be tucked away in bed..fast asleep......yes there is and has for years naughty clubs in Carvoeiro...away from boring old Golf and good food ..(Well after that maybe !!) .......I do think that as long as 'Alternative' clubs are discrete and open late...thats fine...brings in needed revenue and satisfies demand...that is huge.
By the way....if you really want a good club with pretty girls ....its in Alvor not Carvoeiro........Yes .Yes I know the first post will say 'Good..lets leave it there'........Can't win this one I know....

what a stupid response, try comparing golfers to other sporting groups, fx footballers, and compare the the international aura that each group generates.

I've got a great idea - lets ban golf in the Algarve.

Whilst we are at it, lets ban -

Surfing in Newquay
Diving in the Red Sea
Sailing in the British Virgin Islands
Walking in the Lake District
Backpacking in Thailand
Sightseeing in Egypt

To all anti golf guests - get a life! - If I want to walk a few miles hitting a little white ball then why should you care - Am I really doing you any harm? List your hobbies and lets see if I can find something in there that I think is pointless. Lets face it, the Algarve is a world centre of excellence for golf - it is what separates it from other 'tourist zones' and what keeps the standards high.

Ask the restaurants - if it weren't for the golfers in the early and late part of the year who would patronise them - or would you rather have the OAP brigade looking to spend six months in the sun for £50 a week.

The suggestion that all golfers are seedy perverts is, quite frankly, ludicrous. Given that, in my experience, about 30% of players I meet in Carvoeiro are female there must be a gap in the market for a male strip bar!

the address for the golfers brothel is as follows.

you go up the side of cvo beach (east side) you will you the place ..its callled "GIRLS N ROCKERS" ..but most time they just use the intials...there is a bouncer on the door...go in slip him 50 euros...in the back there are some private rooms...tell him you want some "action"...and he will be happy to help.

Graham, a reformed character. I'm really proud of you (never thought I'd say that). I must say I agree that golf should be banned, do you want to start a petition? I'm not sure I agree with your assertion that golfers are seedy perverts, most probably are, some might just be ordinary perverts. You have to be so careful these days not to give offence.

With all this talk about "Leaping Houses"....I feel that I should come to the defence of the fallen angels of the back street bars.

After all, they're just working girls getting by the best they know how with the asssets that the good Lord done give 'em.

I once knew a Lady Of The Night who was down on her luck, and I helped her out untill she could get on her back again.

In return, she introduced me to the world of dim lights, thick smoke and loud loud music.

I've never looked back.

As a property owner I hadn,t got a clue that there were lap dancing bars etc untill the people on this forum who are against them decided to publicise the fact. Coming from the lap dancing capital of the u.k.Birmingham i have no problem with them at all, in fact I would think it would increase visitors, at least when i come over with the lads we will have somwhere else to go instead of having an early night with a cup of horlicks.P.S can someone let me know exact locations.

OK..The Safari (old Name)......is down towards the square from the Post Office......Whilst the other one is up Restaurant hill on the left just before Casa Algarvia......The Brothel is out on the road to Sesmarias......Go to the Fork coming away from Lagoa towards Carvoeiro ..Take the right fork..mile up the road on the left.......says Night Club..........and thats your lot ...They are all pretty crummy......especially the latter that is packed full of very dirty local builders usually........and the only Wow Wow club is nowhere near that lot ..has over 60 of the most beautiful girls from Brazil...and I'm not going to tell you where it is cause you and your mates will probably lower the tone of the place.and anyway..I want it all to myself and the ones...In the know...Wink Wink....(I said Wink )
