Re: Da donato
On way back from CVO on Saturday, someone had been and put back the sign, but still not a lot happening building wise.
Re: Da donato
For those who do not read Portuguese it says the food will be Pasta and Pizza.
Re: Da donato
Outside is now painted up, called Casa Jaoa...says its a Restaurante and a Pizza place.....tables & chairs all look ready, but no other sign of life!
Re: Da donato
Over the Christmas period we went in search of Tia Rosa two members of staff from Donato's could be seen taking item's of furniture and pots of paint in to the building.widge wrote:Also heard that Donato is opening at what was known as Tia Rosa. Too far to walk from Sesmarias so, like many others, hope that the owner's son can emulate or improve on the old Donato's.
Re: Da donato
Donato's has a load of new outside tables and chairs under cover, all wrapped up.....something should be happening soon surely!
Re: Da donato
Saw a sign today for da danato just beside pingo doce pointing to where Tia Rosa used to be. Didn't check to see if open. Big fan of A Paleta so don't think I could pass there for pizza !!
Re: Da donato
Drove past today and sign says it opens on the 5/4 so not long to wait for Casa Jaoa?

Re: Da donato
Anyone manage to try out the new establishment, Casa Jaoa? Heard that it's locals, as in from Sesmarias, that are running it.

Re: Da donato
We haven't been to the Sesmarias restaurant, due mainly to a couple of very adverse reports.
Donatas in Lagoa, however, seems to be flourishing. It would appear on the surface that being obliged to move to these new premises is proving to be highly beneficial to Donato,

Da Donato Sesmarias n o w Casa Joao
We did try Casa Joao last week but were disappointed with both Lasagna & Spagetti Bolonaise.
They will really need to up their game on this our first experience.

Re: Da donato
Took our two grandaughters to donato's twice last week, second time around they had a parrot show on which was great for the kids.Food as always was good, service very good the new waitress was also a dab hand at balloon bending? is that what it's called, anyway one small criticism it was a very hot night, the air con remained off.
Re: Da donato
Personally if I went to a restaurant for a meal and there was a live parrot show I would be far from pleased and would be inclined to walk out.
