Yes you do have to pay, but I'm not sure how much.

It goes from the beach, up estrada do farol and right up as far as Clube Atlantico, then back down to the beach. There are no stops however, it's just a sightseeing trip and can't be used as transport.

you may also use it for target practice:

Tyres: 20 points
Engine: 80 Points
THE BELL: 10.000 points and a free drink in Smilers.

The tourist train and certain internet connections are the cause of an enormous amount of angst for you, Gambrinus. It is something to do with them both being slow and getting in the way of what you would like to achieve quickly.

the dreadful train costs 6 euros, which is a dreadfully high price to breath in diesel fumes!! If you do go sit at the back, but take it from me, it's not worth the money!

Gambrinus as long as you don't expect them to throw scented petals at your feet (and do the ironing :!: ) - thats a wonderful, if slightly sick making for the other men, response :)

Hi
I've just got back from Carvoeiro and was told by the people of our group who went on the train that it "only" cost 3 Euro per person. The grandparents enjoyed it so much that they went on it twice. In Quarteira however, they charge 2 Euros and it lasts longer apparently. Cannot comment from personal experience but those that went, enjoyed it. Worth a shot if you want to know what it's like, don't you think?

I know this train is not allowed to stop anymore due to the complaints by the taxi guys and others. Try counting the passengers going out and the passengers coming back at around 10.00pm. Observed last week at primavera on Monday evening, very interesting!

it is hard to prevent people jumping off an open train that is travelling around 3 - 5 kmh in certain places....or why do you think he charges people before the ride and not at the end

Look Gambrinus - you can talk about that train without becoming emotionally highly charged - well done - it is about taking one day at a time :)

You are so right, maddi, I actually did it....and then Mike comes along and waves a red cloth in my face

Mike, the only place I applied to drive that train is straight off a cliff into the sea. :P...and yes, they turned me down
