Nearly went there myself and thought better of it - would suggest that if the villa owners are looking to have their usual "type" of guest, then they can't raise the prices (ethically/morally).

Cashing in . . . which is fair enough . . . should be done only when taking the football fans which carries a tiny (and I mean tiny) element of risk.

If the tournament had fallen in school holidays, my family would have certainly been there for it, 6 adults, 6 kids, granny, grandad, the lot and we would not have behaved any differenty in respect of anyones property than we do any other year. A small minority are hooligans (previously convicted ones will have their passports taken away - standard practice these days).

It depends a bit on the object that is being rented out, but I reckon there will not be much increase in the rental price due to risk of damage to the property, as you can regulate client "behaviour" by applying breakage deposits that will hurt if lost.

Rest assured, there are some smart-arses around who will try and make wads of cash in June/July 2004, on products as well as services. The same rule as always applies - take your time, no matter what you are buyng, to compare and evaluate price/quality relationship as well as possible.

We are not changing our prices for May/June next year - I don't see the point of trying to make a quick buck. We want clients who will return or recommend our apartment to others, not for them to feel ripped-off.

Well said, Kteee, thats the perfect long term view that I think some of us have been talking about under topics such the Euro and Carvoeiro getting expensive.
