can anyone recommend anywhere we can buy a birthday cake or have one especially made in Carv? Adult cake in May

Intermarche have a book of different designs, they need a days notice. The cakes are sold by weight the smallest being about 1kg, they come from a pasteleria in Portimão called Mira which is very good. There is another place in Lagoa, cross over from the Fatacil traffic lights and go into Lagoa taking the first turning opposite the Elefante Azul. In the new blocks of appts there is a pastelaria called Hellydoce, their cakes are also very good.

A good point - Le Doce makes cakes - they might take offence to the "stupid residents" comment though.....

Helydoce the pastelaria in Lagoa near Solvet and the animal charity shop were very good when I last wanted a birthday cake made. Quick and reasonably priced
