"Well, my resolve was well and truly strengthened; I lost yet another pound this week. I am on target for a half a stone loss before I expose the new, sleekier, svelte-like, toned and . . ."

See, I did mention how much I'd lost. As if I'd mislead anyone. :P

You are referring to Steep Hill, which is, as its name implies, is a steep hill. Years ago, (Snakehips days) I used to run down and back up 2 or 3 times a week to keep fit - - - I should have kept it up!

I don't know which Indian you're referring to. Can you be more specific? Mind you, I;ve not been in any in that area - too touristy for my liking.

So, your son is a Yellow Belly is he? I am too. In actual fact I am a hybrid of a Yorkshire Pudding (maternal) and a Norfolk Dumpling (paternal) so is it any wonder I have a weight problem? :D

Yes, it is Sargents Icecream. But, be warned, the owner (as far as I am aware) has branched out . . . into tattooing. Why beware? Because he specialises in doing ladies' bits :!:

Hi Michael,
Thanx 4 the update - no mention of the aerobics tho??? Can u recommend a good position for flat stomach and firmer bottom?
Yes Sam is a Yellow Belly but he is an honorary Scouser now living near the Pool with his Mum who is a hybrid of Irish Stew/Lancashire Hotpot and Norfolk Dumpling. my sis who is the serious dieter at the moment takes after the lovely Norfolk dumplings.....big and bootiful  but she's getting married on 3 July and wants to make sure she can fit into her keks and still be able to pig out in the Italian restaurant afterwards

Do you have any recommendations though for me - I am the opposite on the Seefood diet - see food and eat it because I need to put on weight. Do you know good restaurants besides Casa Algarvia which my sons love because of the lovely lamb chops? but also have to have the dreaded chicken nuggets on the Menu. Many thanx for the laughs and good advice. We await further postings with bated breath

Yeah, the aerobics. What can I say? I'm in step and in tune. Perhaps I'll mention them next week; after all, you can't give the public too much at once. :D

Wanna put weight on? Get yourself down to Lincoln and I'll take you to my favourite Italian restaurant (mentioned during the Diet Diaries) and shovel yopu full of pasta, pizza and wine.

I've always said, actions speak louder than words

A lot of people think I look like Mr. Bean, but I can't see it myself :!:

Latest update posted.

Steen, how about a Diet Diary Topic? I think after all my hard work I deserve one

You could do it while I'm in Turkey and it would be a nice surprise for me when I get back. 8)

Have you looked in jokes section? Steen has put a pic in there and is implying that is you? :) Maybe you have a lovely pic of Steen for us seeing I havent seen one yet.

Safe journey and happy hols.

I've dealt with that now. Thanks for letting me know that Steen is implying that he's gotten hold of a photo of me and saying that I'm fat. Cheeky monkey

I am trawling the net looking for a piccy of Steen but as yet have been unsuccessful. Methinks he is a recluse; glued to his PC monitor, surrounded by cats and empty KFC cartons.

I shall publish as soon as I find one . . . but be quick, he's bound to suppress it :P

I'm back from my hols and will be reporting on my diet and fitness regime sometime on Wednesday. If Steen can be persauded, the diet diary might well have its own dedictated topic page . . . . but don't hold your breath :D
