 Very personal choice, but my favourites are - Chef Antonio, Casa do biffe, Maximes, Ele and Ela. And out of cvo near the Benagil turning is Brasserie de Marinha (can't remember if that is how it is spelt), a bit more expensive but lovely food. Enjoy

Like Tricky we love the food at L'Orange but its not in the town centre....in Solferias area .not far from the nossa senhora statue..
but I think 'Roma' has a lovely setting and food is very nice too
but again this isn't within Carvoeiro..take the turn off on the road from Lagoa just before you get to Carvoeiro..about 1 and half kilometre
L'Orange doesn't take credit cards......
Best to book both places..

P.S. Just to add that Roma has Italian cuisine but does other delicious dishes.....
lovely ambience..tables set round pool in Italian style garden..very comfortable armchair type seats..
and the music is nice..played softly in background..
perfect on a late summer's evening

Good Restaurants

Post by shep »

Just back from Carveiro after 2 week break. (4 adults and 5 kids) Really enjoyed my time there and tried to eat somewhere different every night. Overall, I didn't think there was much difference in menu choice between most of them. The portions were not big, and the kids choice were burger or sausage with chips. Staff in restaurants were very friendly and tried to make you feel welcome and special. My choice of the best restaurants were , Cafe de Bife, Agale, Ele and Ela, Chinese (all u can eat) was great for the kids, also the restaurant on the road up past the webcam where you can sit on the upstairs terrace overlooking the bay.

 Hiya, you will need a car or go by taxi, it is on the road out of cvo on the way to Benagil, so about a 10 min drive by car. Really nice place with a nice patio to sit in of an evening, good food and good staff. We use it for things like birthdays, anniversaries etc.

You go out of cvo up restaurant hill then take the turn left Benagil, Lagoa, (Bubbles bar!) keep on this road, straight over at the roundabout and then when you come to the strange junction where you have a stop sign it is about 50 yards on your left.

If I can be of anymore help then just ask
