Evening guest....
I've only visited Alvor about 3 times I think...first time was at night and we got completely lost!
Then recent times(this year) I visited during daytime....twice to Susana's bookshop the 'Magna Carta'(which is very nice..don't know if you've been?)....
and I liked what I saw :) Su took me to local beaches which were lovely..nice little one there has a sort of 'lagoon' look?....
Also Su and I were treated to lunch with Ellen and John at restaurant close to her shop!
I'd like to have a longer look next time..and someone mentioned a nice little church there?
YES ! we are blighted by fighter planes at times..there are quite a few air bases in this part of Lincs.....sometimes we almost feel we're at war!
The jets often come down very very low and frighten the living daylights out of you  ..
Now and again we hear 'target practice'...at first we thought it was loud fireworks..but found out that theres a 'dummy ship' out in the North sea some miles off Skeg I think....which they practise 'bombing'
I'd prefer Roy4eyes little plane anytime :)..no..I don't think its him 'up there' in lincs skies....
or is it ?

Thanks for thet Elle..I think I have wound you up so many times over the last year I really should apologise .......as for Lincoln air bases and flying..well I have to admit I used to be one of them ...Scampton /Waddington ....Cottesmore (Rutland)..9 and 12 squadron Vulcans......we used to fly low over the countryside and that was 1965..so nothing has really changed has it.....so I guess I shouldnt complain about little Cessnas over Alvor should I...Hope to meet you one day........

Ciao

ps..Lot of ex RAF chaps on this site arnt there ???.........

I wasn't in the RAF, my dad was. I used to work for Link Miles and Redifon on simulators, so I can now add 707, 737 (several sorts), 747 (3 and 2 crew), 757, 767, A320, MD80, DC10, L1011 to the list. Cheating really, but we did all get very good at flying in order to test our software
