We were at this restaurant in Sept & can I just say we have been going to Carvoeiro for several years now & this has to be the worst meal we've ever had.
We ordered beef stroganoff & peppered steak..the portion of stroganoff was so small(& tasteless!) you could have put it on a saucer & the steak could have been on bottom your shoes...an experience not to be repeated

We never had a bad experience at Vimar. Food is ok, friendly service and a lot of regular customers. We're having dinner there at least twice a month. We had bad experiences at Bon Bon and O Patio, but one bad experience is not for me to put in on the forum.

I agree that you should not judge just by one visit but unfortunately we have been there twice and had a bad experience both times. We shall not be back but to be fair I know of people who swear by the place - which is why we went there in the first place.

I have eaten there twice albeit last year. No real complaints but a bit "ordinary".

We are frequent visitors to CVO over last 10 years, and have eaten previously at Vimar. However, on this occasion we found the food to be well below standard. Portions were small and what was presented was tasteless. Overall very poor value for money (in fact rip off) and will not eat there again. It is astonishing that some restaurants fall so short in today's environment.

It is one of my local restaurants. I ate there twice - by myself. Obviously was not worth bothering with and I was left feeling unwelcome, poor food and rude service. Their loss - I tell my visitors not to go there - the other restaurants do well out of my guests.
