Received this e-mail just a while ago:
NEW!
Virtual Tours of selected properties, launched direct from an advert
Now you can see all around a property right from the pages of The Portugal News property section. See if this is really the property you are looking for from the comfort of your home or office. Narrow down the list of properties you plan to view, save time and disappointment by using this new facility to see much more about a property or development than was ever possible before.
See a VIRTUAL TOUR on Page 16 and on Page 20, as well as a STREAMING VIDEO on Page 16.
Take a look at this link:
http://www.the-news.net/
At the left side you see this text:
Read this week's issue
online exactly as it
appears in print.
On the new page click at the menu on the left side at: P16-Property and

yes I saw it several weeks ago, the problem is not that but that agents wont (not cant) use it
perhaps its because they enjoy wasting their and their clients time for reasons which as I said before must be to do with puttiing pressure on pewople to buy
saw the other site..its ok...but you watch the bbc2 unchartered territory show on monday about brazil...you will see 3 properties with walkthrus by presenters or house hunters...very good way to show property

yes but as I mentioned before ..how many could be sold???...but as my first comment said, I have seen numerous people going home having seen nothing they like...all because its such a tedious timewasting run around.
the truth of it is ..,most agents cant be bothered......if car dealerships sold cars as agents sell homes, how many cars would be stockpiled unsold.

just watched bbc Unchartered territory...timed each video of property they showed...each ran for about 3 mins....in that time you saw 90 per cent of property...now in acouple of hours with an algarve agent and a video you could see about 30 villas...how long would it take to see those in person...my experience is 4 a day--or about 7/8 working days.....what a timesaving and cost saving in petrol (and pollution) and an opportunity to see something you may well buy if they used video.
now will they.

believe me pm...I ask every time I go with an agent ...they are NOT INTERESTED....they are stuck in some timewarp.....as I mentioned can you think of car dealers selling cars as these agents do....look at the glossy brochures, the flashy internet sites ..for a car costing 20000 euros...but a house costing 300000..your lucky to see a 7 x 5 colour pic...some dont even have books fro you loook thru.....its all very sad

The estate agent I use in UK has a website. The photographs are on there of all the rooms - must say its fun looking at the many different ways people knock down walls etc. in the same style semi. to get a totally different look - the large kitchen with tv sitting area seems to be in vogue and dining rooms no longer wanted. From experience though pictures might look good but when on site some of these improvements can be dire
The camera really does lie - no one will take a picture of the horrendous eyesore next to the property
I personally don't think burglars will rush out to rob the properties but can understand NR's point of view.

Whilst I do take your point Martin. However, a video can be played over and over againAnonymous wrote:well any burglar can use still pictures to sus out whats on offer, the video is just a taster to cut down on the needless and wasted journeys made by agents...anyway any burglar can pretend to be wanting to buy and have a guided tour free of charge by the agent.
