But, alas I seem to be causing trouble between you and hub.
I never set out from the start to do this to anyone. Believe me.
I think I have fulfilled my wish and that was to get people to think about the word - LOVE for 2006.
I now believe I have reached my shelf life and it would be unfair to 'hog' this site. It was never my intention to do so. There must be many members out there fed up with my 'looking for love, maybe' subject.
I'm not. I'm still looking. But instead of being a talker/ writer ( I have never been good at that ) I am going to be a do -er in 2006.
I am going to sign off now and let others do the talking. You are all a wonderful decent bunch of people - I can see that with the replies. All the best to everyone of you. Yes, I do exist and I am David and I was in carvoeiro.

"D"You have given us so much fun and enjoyment...so why not let us all have some real fun.....ok the Moderators know who you are.....so why not let the Registered Members Guess your true identity (and perhaps also Guests who post say as pammie does)...my suggestion would be that we each can have two question each and you have to answer honestly....during which anyone can guess your actual identity...if after everybody has had 2 questions each and the postings than stop...then if we have not guessed obviously you have won.
The idea is a bit like Looking Through The Keyhole...the quizz prog where celebrities guest which celebrity lives in the house...well what do you think....and has anyone else got a better idea

The 2 questions must be asked seperately, allowing others a chance etc.

Of course you are correct and a Guest (David or whoever) commenced this nonsense post around the Christmas time and frankly, I believe was just a bit of fun and in the Christmas Spirit... which I have to well hold my hand up... to include me and if it offends you then for my part I offer my sincere apology.But may I respectfully point out the following to you:-

Given the above figures I would say that we have a very healthy forum..would'nt you?

Having said that, you will note that I and several others on this forum be they Reg Members,Guests or Moderators...when a Guest comes on with a question......always springs into action if they can. So from time to time people are silly and have some fun (I think I am perhaps one of the worst culprits) but also one of the ones who will help if I can, which I have to say includes using my own resources, none of which I hasten to add I mind, if the end result is a satisfactory one

You obviously have strong views, so why not become a Registered Member and then you can post on Chit Chat etc.
Finally, your comment with regard the moderators on this forum, yes I.. as do countless others... personally know them... but without hesistation no matter who you maybe....all are treated equally....therefore, I think that you should in fairness post a public apology to them.... for your somewhat unkind comment..in that it is clear that you are questioning their integrity.

ps Have you stop to think, that this post was perhaps and in a "funny" sort of way a very good way of advertising......i.e. for those perhaps a little shy/reserved..... that if they wanted to come along to an informal get together with other forum members/guests....that they would have been made aware of the venue.... and most certainly, would have been made very very welcome

But the small problem ( with respect ) you and others have is you really do believe I am someone you know!
The thing is the Mods don't know who I am - only as a guest from previous postings but I am not one of 'you' as you seem to think. You do not know me and neither do the Mods.
The game would offer nothing up for you guys as there is nothing there to offer. If that makes sense.
I am just another 'joe'. I would also be stripping bare my anonymity for all. I would be as well becoming a member ( nothing wrong with that, but I would never ever be a regular contributor).
Nothing to hide but prefer to remain me - David. A wee bit like you retaining your christian name.
I could let you know certain credentials but only up to a point. I guess it depends on how far you want to go and how much you would be happy knowing?

...and maybe if you had the decency to register before you criticise, the moderators would actually give a toss about what you have to say and move this to the chit-chat where it belongs.
Or we can make it even easier for you - how about we make the whole forum registered users only, then "Guest David" would not have been able to post this thread in the first place without registering? - had he registered the post could have been moved to chit chat because he would have been able to post there.
However, had you bothered to stop and think about it you would realize that, if we move it to chit chat now, the original author would no longer be able to post on his own thread which actually started out as an enquiry about Carvoeiro.
So as you can see, it is really a whole lot more complicated than "cos the moderators know some of the people they will do nothing about it"
