What a nice place!
My wife and I have just spent some time in Carvoeiro and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a b&b for the first time and want to say that Kate at Villa Loureiro www.carvoeiro.com/loureiro/ looked after us really well in her lovely house and we would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
It’s a few years since we were in Carvoeiro and have to say that we were pleasantly surprised at how little it has changed. Ate at Oasis (good ribs!), found Chicken George and had cheap and cheerful there and also had a good meal at the restaurant on the corner of the square, is it 3 J’s? Enjoyed the Jailhouse too. Were amused by the buskers and entertainment in the square - in fact, we had a great time and look forward to returning as soon as we can.
We live in Southern Spain and it was interesting to compare the prices. It seemed to me that the prices in supermarkets, petrol etc was certainly more expensive, but having said that, restaurants and bars were cheaper than the Costa del Sol.
Wish we had those beaches!!!
