I think the weather is really quite normal, Summer. It isn't the Canary Islands and wall to wall heat all year round anywhere in Portugal. It is mild now, 18/19ºC I guess, but a bit mixed but hey, that's April...chuvas mil and all that. For me, summer starts in Mid May until mid September. 8) Think the weather will be good this week and quite warm though.

Well I've been here a while and it seems unusually cloudy and colder than normal. Many people I know have commented on the weather being unlike normal. I personally hope it improves somewhat and warms up a bit.

I think the weather is very typical for this time of year. Today has been lovely - no complaints from me- sat outside for lunch. superb.

We've been told by a few portuguese that it has been the coldest & certainly the wettest winter for quite a while, but look at the countryside it's beautiful, everything is green & lush & the wild flowers are just lovely. I wouldn't want to live in a country without seasons, how boring that would be, & compared to England it's been very mild. :D

Some friends of mine said that in 1999 or 2000, can't remember which, it rained virtually every day from the start of November until the end of January, so it could always be worse. :D Weather is weather.

Weather is weather, and to be honest I like the rain. Its just the endless clouds and cold I hate! I love storms though, every now and again.

What? You actually like rain? I know we need it but surely you'd prefer a freezing cold, dry day when you can wrap up & go for a long walk. Rain is just depressing. IMO of course...

I can't figure; some of you guests want sunshine and all that jazz but when it comes to water shortages and golf courses its all up in arms?

It is really quite easy - what we want it is to pour down between about 2am and 5am every night (filling the reservoirs and quenching the flora and fauna) whilst the leaving days warm/hot and sunny - simplicity itself - now I shall leave one of you to arrange that for me.

Maddi :)

Well, back in the office today - 230 emails and a pile of mail like you've never seen!

Excellent week overall. We ditched Colina Village after the first night - the heated pool wasn't, and then managed to get a suite at Mirachoro. Tremendous place. Thanks particularly to Casa Algarvia and California Pizza - really good value. columbo's was good, bit pricey in comparison though.

I was really taken with the place. got out in the car and had a good look around. We will be back. Thanks
