Though EJ has not got it's online check in working again yet for bookings after Dec it is now operating Speedy Boarding for all its flights from today if you like being at the front of the queue and are prepared to pay the extra

Re EJ, would use as a last resort. Bit like flying within a council estate. Saying that we had the most awful so called sandwich coming back lunchtime with BA in September. No choice, take it or leave it attitude. Been happy to pay if anything else available. Monarch schedule my first choice if the flight times are convenient.

Sorry Mike disagree.

We use EJ whenever possible if the price is right. We prefer the 06.10
out of EMA and it is usually landing ahead of the scheduled time. The only nagging thing is the boarding system. So long as it gets us there at the right price and the right time it is OK by us.

Cannot remember a delay on this flight outbound or inbound but EMA baggage reclaim leaves a lot to be desired!

We have found Monarch to be very competative and have used them on a couple of occasions and have already booked a couple of flight next year. However the last time we used Monarch the leg room on the rarther
aging 757 (goodness how many years service judging by the interior)
was much less than EJ's A219

Have to agree with DaveK's comments. We also prefer the early morning flights with EasyJet. Have never had any problems. A couple of small delays. Have flown with many other airlines including BA and Monarch and whilst the latter two were ok, I think I may even prefer EasyJet.

I think rather than it having anything to do with flying with a council estate (flyers on EasyJet are from all classes and walks of life) it has more to do with snobbery.

We've flown Monarch the last couple of times from Birmingham and for short-haul, they are fine. However, a couple of years ago we flew with them to the Maldives from Manchester and it was horrible. No legroom, very claustrophobic and poor facilities. By contrast, this year we went there with First Choice and it was like flying business class.

We've booked Bristol to Faro with EJ for February and hope to book a Christmas flight with them as well. Mainly on price but also because Bristol will be more convenient this time.

Couldn't agree more Misty and DaveK

Ive been using EasyJet for few years now and always have the early flights. Apart from my journey home last Oct, when there were big delays (that affected most airlines that day), Ive never had a delay and often arrived early.
and Misty, yes you're right that people from all walks use EasyJet....I sat next to Chris Evans on a flight to Faro at New Year 2005..and he can't be short of a euro or 2 !

Mike, having lived part of my life on several council estates (which were good areas believe it or not) I felt slightly insulted by your comment. I suppose it may be a limited experience that caused this derogatory comment, but I am sure there are many people, like me, who do not equate council estates with deprivation. I have many happy memories of the friends, family and community spirit I encountered there. I can only conclude, sadly, that you are a snob.

If the Airport programmes are at all accurate the moaners who MUST get on the flight even though they are late tend to be middle-class, arrogant twits and they get nothing for their abuse and threats. Whereas, the daft biddies who forget their passports, husbands, wedding dresses, money etc. and don't blame the EJ staff for their own mistakes seem to get a lot more help and understanding. Maybe Stelios prefers council house tenants on his planes. (along with the likes of Chris Evans)

Despite the "Chav Air" perceptions of EJ and the like facts show otherwise. 55% of no frills passengers have household incomes of over £34,000 and of these 2/3 have incomes over £46K.

Groups of white, male Pringle dressed golfers who have celebrated their freedom away from wives by propping up the bar prior to departure

Well Im no snob..Ill sit next to anyone..Chris Evans or even a golfer, as long as I get swift service with a smile

p.s. I love the thought of a daft biddy 'forgetting' her husband..maybe not so daft?

On the subject of EasyJet, does anyone know when the next tranche of flights to Faro goes on Sale ?

They're booking till end of March right now, but should be releasing April onwards very soon. I just cannot remember when.

p.s. Preferably info on LGW-FAO in case its different for other UK airports

We booked some flights with EasyJet over the weekend and there was on some filghts the rapid check in for Bristol. When I look at the link I think that it only applied to "hand baggage" only check in's and was £2.50 each.
