POP IDOLOS

Post by Guest »

its interesting to see the local franchise version of pop idol on sic tv..same sets same graphics and music..four judges ..one threw popcorn over the other last time..and the two presnters seem to have been watching ant and dec videos..they copy all the face movements etc,

it would be nice to see a super idol show..with all the winners from aust and usa , germany portugal...battling it out...what a difference from the eurovision song contest

heres the uk audience as they lose :
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

and the portuguese audience as they win

Imitation

Post by Ellie »

Though Ive only ever seen UKs Pop Idol "by accident"--must say SIC version sounds much more entertaining!
Your idea of an" international" Super pop idol contest also seems more fun than Eurovision contest too---who'd you think would end up with "Nil points"?
Ive seen the Portuguese versions of "only fools and horses" and "Open All Hours"------an Arkwright without a stutter :?:
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ? Not in this case im afraid.
They'll never improve on the originals

CULTURE

Post by Ellie »

Well-I think I managd to spell that correctly---------heres a thought--a young relative of mine on a "Media" degree---her dissertation is "Is humiliation a new form of entertainment"?
I thinkwe are well down that road
Thats why--personally--Imuch prefer watching golden oldies ----classics such as Fawlty Towers---Golden Girls---etc---but thats purely my choice--and we can all watch what we like cant we?
Even dross --such as Big brother et al.
Coop --why are we strange?
By way-can I have your opinion on"Wolves" please and Clintons connection :?:
Have a nice day now, Ellie :)

Not an Aussie then Digger?------a gardener maybe?
Going back to the topic for a mo----and Christmas turkey din--mmm--Id say the dark velvet/slightly bitter taste of Guinness goes best with any roast---if not available--perhaps a nice fruity German-----wine?
