Sesmarias
I thought the water (seweage) treatment plant had already been built at Boavista village. Indeed I have seen it. I don't suppose that stops them building another at Sesmarias but it seems unlikely.
Does anybody know when we might get connected to the main sewar ? Do we have to pay & what happens to all the old septic tanks ?

Hi Mcgarvie,
We bought a house in Sesmarias 3 years ago. It is a quiet village with a good mix of residents including Dutch, British, German & of couse many Portuguese. There is a Cafe called Jophils which seems popular for local dishes at low prices and a posh Restaurant called Bon Bon, & several others in beteween.
You get great views of the Monchiques from some vantage points especially on north facing hills. The locals are all very friendly and you can get to CVO by car in 5mins, Ferragudo in 10 & Caneiros beach in 5.
Hope this helps!
