Dewy,
Can you be sure or can anyone else help by giving me contact details for Slide and Splash and I can contact them. I am travelling down for Easter and will have """8""" young children to entertain (not all mine). If it is closed I am in big trouble !!!

Thanks kteee that saves my blushes. I go to Carvoeiro 5-6 times a year but I keep telling all my friends here in Ireland about the little paradise that it is (don't worry I won't let too many in on our secret !!) and I have acted as something of a envoy for the village here in Ireland. Many couples have gone down over the last few years with my recommendation and all have had a brilliant time. I am taking my own family back down on 10th April for a week (and again in July and again in sept !!!!) and we are bringing two other families along with us and i need to fill the week for the young un's as best I can. If S & S was closed I would be reduced to Zoomarine as the main attraction. I have a meeting organised with God for 8th April regarding weather during our visit and hopefully I can persuade him to let Mr. golden sun work a little overtime over and above his normal working week during our visit.

Robbie,

We went there last October and despite the signs saying that the water was at 27C I have to say that whilst the weather was glorious the water was freezing.

Best of luck !

We are hardy folk over here in Ireland. I was down for a few days at the end of January and swam in the pool which is not heated. I must say although Monte Dourado was almost empty those who were there looked on in amazement or maybe it was just pity !!! the poor lad has lost his marbles was the thought I'm sure.

If you do go to S&S at Easter make sure it is a hot one, don't pre book or else it could be a miserable time. We have been on a breezy day and it can be very cold stood around. It isn't busy at that time so there isn't a problem getting in, we always decide on the day. Re it being cold in October it was glorious, even I went in and that is something!!! It was the warmest day though.

Yes I agree with what Dewy said, there's nothing worse than going to a water park on a chilly day  Does anybody know if any buses go to and from the Aqua Show?

Yes there are buses, if you buy tickets in CVO they can sort it out i think, we always go by car though. There are numerous places in the village that advertise.
