ferragudo . nice?

Good evening to one and all,
does anyone know how far it is to ferragudo is it walking distance or is it a taxi ride? just been looking at some pictures and i must say it looks delightful . is it somewhere you can spend an evening or would a day trip be better. all replies most welcome.

Think its a bit more than a taxi ride from where you are Jose.

paddles from Ferragudo. I don't know if it's true but presumably he came from somewhere, went into the back of Steen's place then left a few minutes later and paddled back.

According to this route planner it is 9 km and it takes by car 18 minutes

and walking 2 hours and 17 minutes

So my advise would be: Take a taxi or hire a car. Take a look at this site and find out yourselve. click here

It's not a walk but well worth the taxi ride especially if you like sea food restaurants.

It is still an unspoilt fishing village.

I like the idea of a 2 hour stroll after breakfast

, should just get their for lunch a few glasses of wine , and maybe a taxi back

When were were over in Carvoeiro last August the land train went there - one day in the week. Left the square at 11am and back about 3.00 (i think those were times) - only a few Euro's per person.

5 weeks today!!!!

We walked it from CVO last April - it took us about 3hrs, due to a couple of wrong turns - very nice walk, but wouldn't fancy it in really hot weather as there are a few hills to negotiate. Take plenty of water.

We got a taxi back, which apparently are in very short supply so we asked the restaurant owner if they could order us one & it took a few phone calls for them to find one available.

There is no direct bus route, I think you have to change at Lagos & then Lagoa??
