Maps to beaches

Post by kennycapes »

i've just been reading on the forum about some beaches.

Caneiros beach looks nice as do they all. I checked out the maps but they didn't cover this beach. Are there any maps to show where a lot of the beaches are.

Cheers

The most we have on the web site is THIS. If a local could add a bit more info on directions I could add it to the FAQ.

Thanks, i've seen this.

This year we play to visit a few more places as we normally stick around CVO. I will look to see if i can get a good large scale map of the area close around CVO.

Any ideas

Have you tried looking on Google earth? you can see the roads that lead to the beaches.

i have looked there to look where the apartment is but will it show the names of the beaches.

The beaches section only gives the number of meters away from CVO.

Unfortunatly there is no one map that shows everything, I think you will have to look where the beaches are one one and then see the roads that lead to it on GE.

Hi,
When we were in Cvo last year we obtained some very good and detailed maps. They were published by ForWays. One covered "tThe Algarve" which included Maps of Faro, Portimao & Albufeira. The 2nd was of Cvo itself which was virtually a streetmap covering from Benagil to Vale de Lapa & Northwards to Lagoa. From memory other areas were available. The map covers are yellow/orange and cost approx 5euro. We obtained ours in the pottery shop going up the hill towards the GNR Station. I could try uploading pictures but I'm not sure on copyright!! Hope this helps :)
