cost of importing a car

Hi, I have found an agent who handles the paperwork when importing a car tax free. She has quoted 2000 euro for her services

This seems a bit high. Has anyone found a cheaper price

I bet her name is G***y. My advice is steer well clear. I have imported several cars and use a guy in Portimao who charge around 400 euros.

400 euros sounds much better. Have you got a name for your agent? that would be most helpful.

Hi Stevie

forgot to add his name. Jamie Afonso 282 417 410. He works wit his wife who also speaks english and his father in law who does not. Berst to call on Mon/Wed/Fri as he spends Tue/Thur in chasing paperwork at the relvant offices there. His offfice is located at the end of a small internal alley that leads of a pedestrainised street behind the lotto and BBVA bank in Portimao.

His prices are clearly stated on a notice on the wall.
