I have booked for 1/04/04 - 15/04/04. Luton-Faro with monach £133 return. I most proberly could have waited and got it cheaper with easy jet or one of the other low cost airlines but watching the airport programme on tv i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole

I think easyjet will be a similar price as it covers the easter period. I agree with your comments regarding easyjet though, we have switched to Monarch scheduled this year for our three trips based on service levels and the quality of staff (excludes the pilots). Mike

I have always booked BA scheduled out of LGW - and have done so for 2 of the planned 3 or 4 trips for next year. The trouble with BA is that they really hike the price for school hols.

For a recent trip covering October and November (including half term) we paid £118 with BA from London Heathrow to Lisbon. EasyJet was a lot more than that into Faro when they eventually published their prices.

If you are OK to fly into Lisbon also have a look at Now and Air Luxor Light both fly from Heathrow

The best price you will get from Dublin to Faro is 1 cent each way with Ryan Air. This applies to November and first two weeks in December.

It really is worth being specific when making comparisons - i.e. comparing like for like.

Personally found that BA/Monarch/TAP scheduled does beat easyjet in school holidays and on "changeover" days. If you 100% flexible, i.e flexible work commitments, own property, then easyjet and it's like will often come in cheaper.

If you are looking for November then the November price is great but it is not going to be directly comparable to, for example, Whit week, for two reasons 1. short notice - selling of unsold seats and 2. it is November!!

Also where I have put prices, they are also inclusive of all taxes, ticket issue, aviation security levy etc as I can see that others are too. I somehow suspect that the Ryan Air great deal is actually a good deal but that the 1 cent cost is before the addition of the above - still good nevertheless.

Anyway, anything we can do to help people out by pointing them in the direction of cheap fares, good deals, etc, is great!

Plus I want to know who is out there when I am in case I have to hide!!!!

So it does Maddi!
Give me a time and place Loretta and I'm sure we can share a couple of bottles of wine and feel sorry for those left back at home

Don't feel too sorry for us, Tricky as a few weeks later I could be doing the same with Mike, Chislehust with whom I overlap, and any of the others who haven't posted planned visits yet. . . . and so they keep on coming

Hi Tricky,
Instead of meeting up at a designated place for a drink wouldnt it be more fun to see if we would be able to to reconise each other if we drop a few clues on the site and if say by the last weekend we dont bump into each other we can then have a set place to meet. I Can imagine going up to people saying are you tricky :?: i wonder what sort of reactions i would get :P

Loretta
