Island Café at Presa da Moura
Island Café at Presa da Moura
A real gem this!
Operating at half speed so far due to main electricity supply to be completed but very nice and imaginative provisional menu for lunch and evening. Lots of lovely salads, club type sandwiches, "different" burgers etc.
Will eventually also feature American style steaks etc cooked by their real American chef who obvioulsy knows what he is doing!!
Worth a look.

I wondered if this had opened yet. It looked really nice last winter. Must give it a try this year.
I've passed there lots of times and thought that I must give it a try and I finally went there today after reading Biffa's post. What can I say? Gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous!! A lovely menu, totally different from what you would get elsewhere. I had a salmon salad, with cheese, mango & a vinaigrette which was delicious. I told them that it was probably the best salad I'd ever had. It was well presented and the place itself is immaculate even down to the washrooms where you have a choice of handwashes! Slightly expensive but well worth it. Thanks Biffa!

Try the calamari here for both for quality and presentation. Menu very different but a great addition to Cvo and environs.

Great food!
We have just returned from Lunch at Island Cafe and must say that the calamari and burgers are the best we have had in a long time!
Have already booked for Friday! A great find, so thanks to all who recommended it!

Tried it for the first time last night, and was very impressed. This is much more than a burger and fries cafe. (Although understand the burgers are excellent). We had calmari starter, followed by veal for my wife and seared tuna for myself. Both excellently presented, and perfectly cooked. The tuna was the best I have tasted outside of California. In fact probably the best, period. We aim to return to try a burger. Thanks for the recommendations.
