Hey Angry,

Maddi, Gambrinus, brown noses, gutless:
you’re not supposed to agree with or like them/us
but “as a regular reader” you must like this forum.

“because I am not that interesting” is your reason for not making proper contribution
But I think you are

and, come on, who is No.3 then?

Mr Angry, congrats in creating the response you intended to. Having said that my opinion is that you are what is known as a fool. If you need escapism, get drunk, dont interact with intellectuals that make you feel small. Anyone who rejects improving their intellect at any time is a fool. so, in conclusion, the answer is at the bottom of the bottle.

Obviously educated Matt but wasted on a fool like you if your only answer is at the bottom of a bottle.
digger number 3 is lack of polemical,or engaging discussion.and thanks I really do enjoy a good hearty and uncensored within reason, debate.
Gambrinus.yes move on but stop the hi-jacking of postings by others.you would then be fulfilling your obligation.
Cowboy you missed out Browned Off!

lol now come on. My suggestion of alchol was meerly as concern for you, not the intellectuals! I know its a hard life, having nothing better to do than sit around reading forums that you dont, or cant, appreciate-leading you to lash out and make pointless criticism.

At the end of the day I know your game, to cause a stir, so well done.

True, if my objective were to turn this forum into nothing more than an info page for travellers.
I prefer the banter and hi-jacking. :P

The definition of a fool;Silly person, Simpleton
MattK.I would be very careful if I were you,who you call a fool.
You bandy the words fool and intellectual around in what comes across as a superior manner.
Give me your definition of an intellectual?I have met many so-called in my field of work, who couldn't open a can of beans.
Sometimes being a fool or playing the fool is a clever act and the 'fool' is often the survivor.
You have a lot to learn in the university of life.
The word is merely not meerly.

OK, the original question.
My theory was my answer and I am sticking to it.

Mr. Angry, I am now curious to know, what's your answer?

I'm back, with my light-sabre on full power! I thought it was bad enough having to fight that intergalactic heavy breather Darth Vader. But it seems that the dreaded Empire of Verbal Diarrhoea has struck back! Even worse, there seems to be an invasion of sycophants who suck up to it, not to mention a visitation by a particular type of fool who mistakes wordiness and long-windedness for the cerebral.
I'm off now in my Millennium Falcon, in search of engaging, intellectually stimulating conversation. Wish me luck! :D

not really, I'm a pussy cat

OK Gambrinus, you asked for it, so now it's my turn to be boring :(
I consider happiness and hope to go hand in hand, if you're happy then hope springs eternal, and you hope what makes you angry, sad, or whatever, cheers you up when the bad things are turned around.
I don't drink and gave up smoking over sixteen years ago, so I think I'm a bit healthier and a bit wealthier, both for which I am grateful and hope it continues into the twilight years. What makes me happy?
1) The seasons here in England especially the one that will soon be upon us,the songbirds returning and procreating, the new growth, and the hope that flowers will bloom forever.

2) Children laughing and playing and the hope and prayer that they will be allowed to grow healthilly and not be mistreated or abused.

3) The hope that the vicious dogs ripping hares apart for 'SPORT' will one day turn upon their equally vicious owners, that would make me very happy.

4) The hope that 'Brer Fox' will one day bite the fat arse of a chinless wonder, dressed stupidly and perched on the back of a wonderful animal.
Now that would make me very happy.

5) The hope that one day a politician will say SORRY.

6)What makes me happiest of all is a loyal and wonderful wife who is my lover, mate, and strongest critic, especially when I'm angry.
I just hope this is not too long and of course.....intellectual

When i was going through my last and blackest time ,when i had everything and could find no joy in anything, when waves of despair rolled over me as a last resort i said a prayer, not that all the problems(cos there werent really any)would go away, but just that i could cope with the ones that i like everybody else had and it must have been answered cos im looking out the window at the dogs and sun and thats enough for me.you happiness comes from within and if you forget that your lost

Well put Gerry. The simple pleasures of life and things we take for granted often bring the greatest happiness :)
Think Mr Angry summed it up well.

Yes,
happiness is truly relative
to sadness.

It is impossible for you to understand happiness unless you have an understanding of sadness
